These instructions will help you master reset your phone, if you are unable to master reset your phone or you have a device that does not run on operating system then continue on below

Master reset from settings menu 

 

A master reset reverts the device back to factory settings. It will permanently erase all personal data, preferences, settings and content such as pictures, ringtones, and apps that are saved to the device. It is recommended that you save or backup important data before proceeding.

Instructions:

1. Drag down the notification bar, and then tap Settings (Gear icon).
2. From the “General” tab, scroll to and tap Backup & reset.
3. Tap Factory data reset.
4. Tap Reset phone.

• If security is enabled, you will be prompted to enter your unlock information at this time.

Tap Erase everything. Tap OK.

 

Master reset with hardware keys

Alternate master reset method

1. When powered off, press and hold the Volume down and Power keys together.
2. Release the Power key when you see the LG logo, then immediately press and hold the Power key again. Keep the Volume down key held down during this process.
3. Release both keys when you see “Factory data reset” at the top of the screen.
4. To reset your phone, press the Volume down key until Yes is highlighted, and then press the Power key.
5. To confirm the reset, press the Volume down key until Yes is highlighted, and then press the Power key.
