Master Reset Instructions
Master reset from settings menu
A master reset reverts the device back to factory settings. It will permanently erase all personal data, preferences, settings and content such as pictures, ringtones and apps that are saved to the device. Data stored to an SD card will not be erased unless otherwise selected. It is recommended that you save (backup) important data to your SIM, SD card, or a computer before proceeding.
Instructions:
1. Drag down the notification bar, and then tap.
2. Scroll to and tap Backup & reset.
3. Tap Factory data reset.
4. Tap Reset phone.
NOTE: Tap to check Erase SD card to remove all data on the Micro SD card.
· If security is enabled, you will be prompted to enter your unlock information at this time.
5. Tap Erase everything.
Master reset with hardware keys
Alternate master reset method
· Software version 4.0
1. Power the phone off.
2. Press and hold the Down Volume and Power key simultaneously until the phone vibrates, then release the keys.
3. Repeatedly tap the Back Key and Home Key until the green Android Robot animation appears.
NOTE: If the AT&T logo appears, start over from step 1.
4. Your device will perform a master reset.
· Software version 4.1
1. Power the phone off.
2. Press and hold the Down Volume and Power key simultaneously until a “Factory Hard Reset” screen displays, then release the keys.
3. Press the Power key.
NOTE: If the AT&T logo appears, start over from step 1.
4. Press the Power key again to confirm.
5. Your device will perform a master reset.
