Master Reset Instructions

These instructions will help you master reset your phone, if you are unable to master reset your phone or you have a device that does not run on operating system then continue on belowHTC Thunderbolt 6400 4G LTE Hard Reset

Instructions]
A factory data (hard) reset may help with a blank or frozen screen, apps crashing or freezing, keypad/touchscreen problems, can’t hear, device making noises, can’t make or receive calls, and device won’t sync. Our Troubleshooting Assistant can help you with other device issues if you aren’t currently using the tool.
Perform a factory data reset only if absolutely necessary as it removes all data including:
§ – Google TM account
§ – System and app data
§ – App settings
§ – Downloaded apps
§ – Music, pictures and videos (It’s recommended to backup this data).
Notes:
§ An alternate reset method is available if the device is unresponsive or won’t power on.
§ Turn off FAST BOOT option.
1. From a Home screen, tap ALL apps (located at the bottom).
2. From the All apps tab, tap Settings.
3. Tap Storage.
4. Tap Factory data reset.
5. Tap Reset phone.
If presented with unlock screen, draw/enter the required pattern, PIN or password.
6. Tap Erase Everything.
Skip Google account setup during initial activation to determine if third-party app is the cause of an issue.
Using hardware buttons
1. Turn the phone off by pressing and holding the Power button for two seconds and selecting Power off.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down button, then press and hold Power.
3. Continue to hold both buttons until you see the Android logos appear on the screen.
4. Press Volume Down to toggle to the Factory Reset option, and select it using the Power button. The Thunderbolt will then hard reset and take a few minutes to complete.
