Master Reset Instructions

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

To perform a master reset, follow these steps:

1. From a Home screen, tap Apps icon (located at the bottom).

2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.

3. From the Personal section, tap Backup & reset.

4. From the Personal Data section, tap Factory data reset.

5. Tap Reset phone. Note If presented, enter the current pass code or draw the unlock pattern.

6. Tap Erase everything. Note Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.

Hard Reset Instructions

A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.

In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:

1. To turn the handset off completely.

2. Press and hold both the Volume Up key and the Volume Down key.

3. With both the Volume Up key and the Volume Down key held down, press and hold the Power key.

4. Release all keys when the FAST BOOT MODE screen appears.

5. Press the Volume keys to scroll to Recovery mode, and then press the Power key.

6. Hold the Power key then press the Volume up key to display the Android system recovery.

7. Press the Volume Down key to scroll to wipe data/factory reset then press the Power key.

8. Scroll to yesdelete all user data, and then press the Power key.

9. Once the wipe is complete, press the Power key to select reboot system now.

10. The hard reset is now complete.
