Master Reset Instructions

These instructions will help you master reset your phone, if you are unable to master reset your phone or you have a device that does not run on operating system then continue on below

Motorola Droid Bionic 4G XT875 Hard Reset

Factory Data Reset is a tool used to remove everything that was imported, added or installed on the device. Keep in mind, when using this feature everything is deleted. Nothing stored on the Micro SD or the internal phone storage will be affected unless you choose to erase it as well.

Master reset from settings menu

1. From the home screen of your phone, touch Menu
2. Touch System settings
3. Scroll down and touch Privacy
4. Touch Factory Data Reset
5. Scroll down and check erase internal storage if you would like to erase all the data on the phone internal storage such as applications, music, movies or photos.
6. Touch Reset Phone

Master reset with hardware keys

The last option is to attempt an external factory reset.

WARNING: When using this feature; everything is deleted from the device.

NOTE: Reset will require a minimum battery level of 25%. If you are unable to perform a reset, please charge for 20-30 minutes and try reset again.

1. with the phone powered off, press the VOL UP + VOL DOWN KEY together + POWER KEY.

2. The device will display different BOOT OPTIONS

3. Use the VOL DOWN Key to SCROLL to Recovery and VOL UP Key to SELECT

Tip: If the device reboots, you may have waited too long to make a selection, you will need to begin the process again.

4. The device will display the Motorola logo and then the Android in distress (logo with Exclamation mark)

5. Press and hold the VOL DOWN key for 5-10 seconds

6. While still holding the VOL DOWN key tap and release the VOL UP key.
