Master Reset Instructions
Master reset from settings menu
The master reset (also called factory data reset) will wipe all data store on the LG Mach, 3rd party apps included. So make sure you use this option only as a last resort when all other troubleshooting options have failed. It’s recommended that you back-up all your data before proceeding with the master reset.
1. Go to the Home screen and tap the Menu key.
2. Select System settings.
3. Select Backup & reset.
4. Now tap Factory data reset.
5. Carefully read the warning and then tap Reset phone.
6. If you want to also delete all the content of your memory card during the master reset, then scroll down and tap Erase SD card. But, make sure this is what you want, as once the memory card has been erased you won’t be able to recover it.
7. Next, tap Erase everything.
8. You LG Mach will completely reset, and then it will restart.
9. Congratulations! Your device has been successfully reset.
Performing a Master Reset via Hardware
This type of reset is useful in case your handset is completely unresponsive and the software master reset can’t be performed. In case your smartphone is frozen and you can’t even turn it off, then remove and reinsert the battery to power it off.
1. Power the smartphone off.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down button.
3. While you’re holding down the Volume Down button, press and hold the Power button for about 10 seconds. Don’t release the Volume Down button during this time!
4. Then press the Power/Lock key to reset the handset.
5. Press the Power/Lock key again to confirm you want to reset the LG Mach.
6. Your smartphone will then completely reset and restart.
