Before you give your handset to repair shop or buy new handset, please try the following procedure to repair your device. First charge your battery more then 70%, backup your important data like phone-book, message, email, images and settings and in most cases take out SIM card and SD card. After doing hard reset not possible to recover your data, so online backup is always important. For all of your data, a backup should be done on a external device, hard drive, raid system media or SD card.

Steps to Reset Phone Settings
This restores all the factory defaults, including the ringer types and display settings. The Contacts, Call History, Scheduler, and Messaging are not affected.
- Press Power button to switch on device.
- Press Menu > Settings > More… > Security and enter your lock code. The default lock code is the last 4 digits of your phone number.
- Select Erase/Reset > Reset All Settings. (A disclaimer appears.)
- Read the disclaimer and press Menu/OK.
- If you are certain that you would like to restore all the factory settings, select Yes.
Steps to Reset Phone
Resetting the phone resets all settings and erases all data on your phone.
- Press Power button to switch on device.
- Press Menu > Settings > More… > Security and enter your lock code. The default lock code is the last 4 digits of your phone number.
- Select Erase/Reset > Reset Phone. (A disclaimer appears.)
- Read the disclaimer and press Menu/OK.
- If you are certain that you would like to restore phone, select Yes.
Soft Reset
- Remove battery from back of the device.
- Now put back battery again after couple seconds.
- Press the Power button, wait for device to turn on.
