Master Reset Instructions
A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.
1.While viewing one of the home screens, press the Menu key on your device
2.Tap System Settings.
3.Under Personal tap Backup & reset.
4.Tap Factory data reset.
5.Read the warning and the tap Reset phone optionally, you can also mark or unmark the Erase SD card checkbox. This will remove the entire content saved SD card as well. Create if necessary.
6.Tap Erase everything to confirm.
7.Your device will automatically restart.
Hard Reset Instructions
A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.
In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:
1.With the device to turned off, Press and Hold the Volume down key.
2.With the Volume down key held down, Press and Hold the Power key.
3.Release the Power key when the Android system recovery screens appear.
4.Use the Volume down key to scroll to wipe data / factory reset.
With the wipe data/factory reset highlight, press the Power key.
5.Press the Volume down key to scroll to Yes – delete all user data.
6.With Yes—delete all user data highlight, press the Power key.
7.Once the wipe is complete, with reboot system now highlight, press the Power key.
8.The device will restart.
9.The device is now reset and ready to use.
