Master Reset Instructions
A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.
To perform a master reset, follow these steps:
1.Turn your phone on.
2.Press the menu icon.
3.Scroll to select settings.
4.Scroll and select Privacy.
5.Select Factory data reset.
6.Read the displayed warning and then select Reset phone to continue.
7.Read the displayed warning and then select Erase everything to continue.
8.The phone will reboot.
Hard Reset Instructions
A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.
In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:
1. If the handset is not already powered off, power the device off now.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Power key at the same time.
3. After the Huawei logo and Android Logo appear, a blue setting screen will display. Release the Volume Up and Power keys.
4. Scroll to Wipe data/factory reset and press the Power key to confirm the Master Reset.
5. Scroll to Yes – delete all user data and press the Power key to confirm.
6. When the Data wipe complete is displayed, select Reboot system now and press the Power key to confirm reboot.
The device will power off and back on. Once powered on, the customer will be prompted to go through initial device setup.
All data, apps, etc. will be lost!
