Master Reset Instructions
A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.
To perform a master reset, follow these steps:
First, try this:
Master reset from settings menu
1. From the Home screen, tap Menu.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll to and tap Privacy.
4. Tap Factory Data Reset.
5. Tap Reset Phone.
6. Tap Erase Everything. NOTE: If needed, enter password, tap OK. (Default password is 0000)
Performing a factory reset from hardware buttons
A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.
In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:
1. Power off the device.
NOTE: If unable to power off, remove and reinsert the battery.
2. Hold the Volume Down Key + Power key for 15 seconds and then release.
3. Press the Volume down key 3 times and then select Delete all user data by pressing the power key.
4. Scroll down to and select Yes – delete all user data.
5. The device will reboot and display the recovery screen.
6. Select Reboot system to restart the handset.
